A story of love, courage, and dreams that began long before Universe Smooth.

Some stories don’t begin with a business plan.
Ours began with a daughter.

My name is Alicia, and before I became the person behind Universe Smooth, I was—and still am—a mother who had to learn how to be strong during one of the most difficult moments of her life.

I am a gerontologist by profession, with a Master’s degree in Social Intervention. But alongside my professional career, there has always been another part of me: a love for design, creativity, and creating things with my own hands.

From a very young age, I found in handmade crafts a way to create, dream, and move forward. I entered college when I was only 17, and while studying, I made and sold my own creations to help pay for books, photocopies, and the many expenses that came with being a college student.

Without realizing it, I was already building an important part of my future.

And then came Zoe.

My pregnancy with my daughter changed my life completely.

Because of health complications, Zoe had to be born earlier than expected. I still remember the words my gynecologist said when she told me we had to move forward with the delivery.

I was scared.

The very next day, I found myself in an operating room, surrounded by machines, praying that my little girl would be okay.

Zoe was born premature, and that moment marked the beginning of a journey that would teach us the true meaning of patience, hope, courage, and love.

During her first years, I decided to dedicate myself completely to her. I did her therapies at home, carried her, held her close, and made sure she received the love and physical closeness she needed.

I learned something I will never forget:

Sometimes, the simplest things—a hug, a pair of loving hands, a mother holding her baby close—can become an incredible source of strength.

Those first two years were filled with dedication, learning, uncertainty, and an incredible amount of love.

It wasn't always easy. There were moments of fear, exhaustion, and doubt. But there were also small victories that felt enormous to us.

And Zoe kept moving forward.

A little girl full of life

The name Zoe has a very special meaning to us: life.

And I don't think she could have been given a more beautiful name.

She didn't just come into my life as my daughter. She also became my inspiration, my strength, and eventually the muse who would lead me back to the passion I had carried inside me for so many years.

While caring for Zoe, I began to rediscover the designer I had always been.

I started creating again.

I started imagining again.

I started dreaming again.

And I realized that my passion for design could become something much bigger.

From passion to purpose

That is how our first project was born: Zoe Accesorios, a small handmade and sustainable design venture deeply inspired by my daughter and by my respect for the world around us.

What began with my own hands, creativity, and a lot of hope slowly began to grow.

It wasn't a perfect journey.

It was a real one.

There were doubts, lessons, difficult moments, and many times when I had to start again. But every step taught me something and reminded me that dreams also require courage to become reality.

Over time, that little idea evolved into something much bigger.

Today, we are Universe Smooth

Today, the story that began with a mother, a daughter, and a passion for creating has evolved into Universe Smooth LLC.

Our brand represents evolution, wellness, creativity, and a genuine desire to create with purpose.

But above all, it represents a family story.

The story of a mother who never let her passion disappear.

The story of a little girl who came into this world fighting for her life and ended up inspiring an entirely new life.

And the story of a dream that began with small creations made by hand and now looks toward a much bigger horizon.

Universe Smooth was born from life, grew through love, and continues moving forward with courage.

We want every product, every design, and every idea we share to carry a little piece of that story—the belief that even during our hardest moments, we can begin again, create something beautiful, and transform our experiences into something that inspires others.

Because to us, the universe isn't simply the place where we live.

It's everything we love, everything we create, and everything we still dream of building.

Nuestra historia

Una historia de amor, valentía y sueños que comenzaron mucho antes de Universe Smooth.

Hay historias que no comienzan con un plan de negocios.
La nuestra comenzó con una hija.

Mi nombre es Alicia, y antes de ser la persona detrás de Universe Smooth, fui —y sigo siendo— una madre que tuvo que aprender a ser fuerte en uno de los momentos más difíciles de su vida.

Soy Gerontóloga de profesión y tengo una Maestría en Intervención Social. Pero mi historia también ha estado siempre acompañada por otra pasión que nació conmigo: el diseño y la creación.

Desde muy joven encontré en las artesanías una manera de crear, soñar y salir adelante. Entré a la universidad cuando tenía apenas 17 años y, mientras estudiaba, hacía y vendía mis propias creaciones para poder comprar libros, pagar fotocopias y cubrir muchas de las cosas que exigía la vida universitaria.

Sin saberlo, estaba construyendo una parte importante de mi futuro.

Y entonces llegó Zoe.

El embarazo de mi hija cambió completamente mi vida.

Por razones de salud, Zoe tuvo que nacer antes de tiempo. Recuerdo perfectamente las palabras de mi ginecóloga cuando me dijo que había que adelantar el nacimiento. Fue un momento que me llenó de miedo.

Al día siguiente estaba en un quirófano, conectada a máquinas, tratando de mantener la calma y rezando para que mi niña estuviera bien.

Zoe nació prematura y comenzó entonces una etapa que nos enseñó, día tras día, el verdadero significado de la paciencia, la esperanza y el amor.

Durante sus primeros años, decidí dedicarme por completo a ella. Hice sus terapias en casa, la cargaba, la abrazaba y procuraba mantenerla cerca de mí todo el tiempo.

Aprendí algo que nunca olvidaré:

a veces, las cosas más sencillas —un abrazo, unas manos que sostienen, la piel de una madre junto a la de su bebé— pueden convertirse en una enorme fuente de fuerza.

Fueron dos años de dedicación, aprendizaje y muchísimo amor. No siempre fue fácil. Hubo momentos de miedo, cansancio e incertidumbre. Pero también hubo pequeños logros que para nosotros significaban grandes victorias.

Y Zoe siguió adelante.

Una niña llena de vida

El nombre Zoe tiene un significado muy especial para nosotros: vida.

Y creo que no pudo haber un nombre más apropiado.

Ella no solo llegó a mi vida para convertirse en mi hija. También se convirtió en mi inspiración, mi fuerza y, con el tiempo, en la musa que me impulsaría a creer nuevamente en aquella pasión que siempre había llevado dentro.

Mientras cuidaba de Zoe, aquella mujer que había pasado tantos años estudiando y trabajando comenzó a reencontrarse con la diseñadora que siempre había sido.

Volví a crear.

Volví a imaginar.

Volví a soñar.

Y comprendí que mi pasión por el diseño podía convertirse en algo mucho más grande.

De una pasión a un propósito

Así nació nuestro primer proyecto: Zoe Accesorios, un pequeño emprendimiento de diseño artesanal y sostenible inspirado profundamente en mi hija y en el respeto por nuestro entorno.

Lo que comenzó con mis propias manos, con creatividad y con mucha ilusión, fue creciendo poco a poco.

No fue un camino perfecto. Fue un camino real.

Hubo dudas, aprendizajes, momentos difíciles y muchos comienzos de nuevo. Pero cada paso me enseñó algo y me recordó que los sueños también necesitan valentía para convertirse en realidad.

Con el tiempo, aquella pequeña idea fue evolucionando hasta convertirse en algo mucho más grande.

Hoy somos Universe Smooth

Hoy, aquella historia que comenzó con una madre, una niña y una pasión por crear se transforma en Universe Smooth LLC.

Nuestra marca representa evolución, bienestar, creatividad y un profundo deseo de hacer las cosas con propósito.

Pero, sobre todo, representa una historia familiar.

La historia de una madre que nunca dejó morir su pasión.

La historia de una niña que llegó al mundo luchando por su vida y que terminó inspirando una vida completamente nueva.

Y la historia de un sueño que comenzó con pequeñas creaciones hechas con las manos y que hoy mira hacia un horizonte mucho más amplio.

Universe Smooth nació de la vida, creció con amor y continúa avanzando con valentía.

Queremos que cada producto, cada diseño y cada idea que compartimos lleve un poquito de esa historia: la certeza de que incluso en los momentos más difíciles podemos volver a comenzar, crear algo hermoso y transformar nuestras experiencias en algo que inspire a otros.

Porque para nosotros, el universo no es solamente el lugar donde vivimos.

Es todo aquello que amamos, todo aquello que creamos y todo aquello que todavía soñamos construir.

Y esta historia apenas comienza.
